World Bank to provide approx Rs 6 billion loan

Kathmandu, Oct 1 (RSS): The World Bank is to provide a loan assistance of approximately Rs 6 billion for the implementation of the second phase of the Vocational Education and Training Project. The bank approved the loan today which it is providing with the aim of promoting just access to technical education and vocational training through the improvement of these sectors in Nepal. The World Bank has expressed the belief that the training would become a means of linking the labor market and the Nepali youths aspiring for abroad employment in the context of the entry of 450 thousand youths annually in the labor market in Nepal and most of them lacking high skills and education.  Most of the youths entering the labor market go on foreign employment.  The loan assistance would be fruitful for Nepal in ending unemployment and informal employment as well as in promoting...

Saudi university to open driving school for women

Chhetri inaugurates four Bailey bridges in Kaligandaki Corridor

Baglung, Sept 27 (RSS): Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) of Nepal Army (NA), Rajendra Chhetri, inaugurated four Bailey bridges built in Baglung and Gulmi section of Kaligandaki Corridor on Tuesday. Three Bailey bridges were inaugurated in Baglung and one in Gulmi. Kathmandu, Sept 18 (RSS): The voting under the much awaited local level election began in Province No 2 this morning. Eight districts in the province are electing representatives for 136 local levels. There is a metropolis, three sub-metropolises, and 59 rural municipalities in this province.  Election Commission Spokesperson Nawaraj Dhakal informed the National News Agency (RSS) that people thronged the voting centres since early morning. Discussions on bill for privileges to Ex-VVIPs

Kathmandu, Sept 7: The State Affairs Committee (SAC) under the Legislature-Parliament has today begun discussions in principles on the bill drafted regarding the privileges to Ex-VVIPs.
